Dr. Lakesha Story was born and raised in a small town called Lanett, AL. Dr. Story has been practicing in the field of Optometry for 14+ years. Dr. Story graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry.

Her desire to become an optometrist was sparked when an academic professor and chair of UABSO Student Affairs quoted Les Brown, “Shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars". At that present time, Dr. Story was working as a student assistant at UABSO. Dr. Story received her Doctor of Optometry degree from UABSO in 2012. Dr. Story shares a unique vision with a close colleague of hers, Dr. Latesha Story-Walker, her twin sister. Dr. Story states that God spoke to her one day and stated, “I didn’t give you one vision, but two” - hence the name DoubleVision Eye Care. Dr. Story and Dr. Story-Walker have a passion of service and a strong will to perfect the gift of sight.

Dr Latesha Walker is a licensed therapeutic optometrist with experience in family eye care, diagnosis and management of ocular disease, and geriatric eye.

Dr. Walker has a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, AL. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, Birmingham, AL. Gooooo Blazers!!!
